I voted windows but I actually have a dual boot Vista/Ubuntu linux.
Vista is a mighty pain in the neck as there still isn't much in the way of software, especially security software, that's supported. The UAC is annoying, some of my software like Terragen will only work when account control is ON, but when UAC is on you get far too many messages to confirm anytime you try to do anything so I usually run in full admin mode.
I'm really just learning the ropes with linux just now, but I like it better than microsoft's offering. Ubuntu looks good, it feels good and I'm not as concerned about security as I would be under windows .... plus its free!!

I use Windows Vista. Heck, I've been using it since they were calling it Codename: "Longhorn". Compared to previous versions, it offers much more. Especialy for a power user. Of course, I've been "born" into the Microsoft community. Having been using their stuff since I was 3 years old, so I'm almost a zealot.
yeah I know, that's what I mean about admin mode.
thankfully I have some pretty good security so running without control is not too muc of a worry (praises to comodo)

Windows - it works and has FAR better support for software out there - more company's create software for Window's than any other OS Available software for Mac is a drop in a bucket compared to what is available for Window's users
