This is supposed to be a WIP, but I doubt I'll work more on this scene so I'm just posting it here.

I love the crispness of all the rock, and the backgrounds is awesome too, the only thing that doesn't look quite real is the tree, it's leaves in particular, but I'm being picky. :P

Thanks. :) I'm actually not happy with this render much. I see about a million things wrong with. And I need to do a better antialiasing on the tree - the pine needles aren't showing up well in this render. I'll revisit it next week.

Well, I like it none the less, I could only spot the pine needle problem, but you are the creator of the scene, so you would spot more. :D

Are those real rocks or just clever procedural terrain work? ;p that's an idea in itself, making procedural terrains to look like they're covered in gravel  nice tree too :)

Actually, it is very easy to do that with a proc terrain. You just need a nice round-samples fractal or a noise node.

Though this is a standard terrain with LOTS of small ecosystem rocks on it.

Thank you! :)

Sweet tree! Also, all that rubble on the foreground hill is nicely done.
